Non-Clinical Efficacy Studies
Non-clinical pharmacological study results demonstrate that MEBO® Wound Ointment (MEBO) maintains the wound in a physiological moist environment, promotes healing, improves quality of healing, anti-shock, improves wound microcirculation in the zone of stasis in the early stages after burns, provides protection from potential infection, and modulates wound healing cytokines with a characteristic expression pattern.  Such properties are likely to be important for the development of novel strategies for wound healing since they shed some light on the potential formulations of temporally and combinatory optimized therapeutic regimens.
